How to handle an obnoxious remark from roommate?

Not sure why you'd want to be so 'americanized' as you put it if being american is complaining about everything. Anyway I think the guy just made a harmless comment and judged you too quickly he probably has thought no more about it and you should do the same. It must be nice to fit in so well with the country that you live in but dont abandon your roots eh?
