What recoil do I have against a sheriff deputy?
There was a brawl at my home because my neighbor ran over my friend with his 4 wheeler on purpose. The deputy was already at my neighbors house "hanging out" while on duty for most of the afternoon. My neighbor and his friend came up the road to my house and got into an arguement with my husband and friend over the speed of the 4 wheelers on the road with all the kids outside playing. My neighbor on purpose ran over my friend, then jumped off his 4 wheeler and all 4 men began to swing punches. The deputy finally came down the road... walking at a lesurely pace by the way.... and saw the fighting taking place. He did not speed up his walk, or try to break up the fight at all. He just simply told my neighbor and his friend to "stop". He did nothing to stop the fight. Once the fight was over, the deputy lied about what he had seen. We had 4 kids there from the ages of 9 to 14 and they all saw him too walking up watching. He wrote no report, took no names, did nothing. I called 911 and asked them to send another deputy out because this one didnt know how to do his job. So my question is........... is there any legal actions I can take against the deputy, other than talking to his superior? ault charges have been filed on the other 2 men.
