Norfolk pine's injury oozing sap. Should I tree wrap the trunk?

I was recently pruning my Norfolk pine's lower dead branches and found out that one of the branches was not completely dead (it was yellow and drooping, but still alive I suppose). Now there has been a small glob of sap on that area for the past couple of weeks. It hasn't gotten noticeably bigger, but it still appears moist. Should I apply some sort of tree wrap or other aid on it or should it be okay?
