How hard is it to get into the TSA (Transportation Security Administration)?

I just applied there online. I also have to send my DD-214 from the military to try and get 5 extra points for being in the Air Force. I'll also have to fax in some other doents. There was a job posting for an area a half an hour away from here and it seems like it would be an amazing career. Please only post if you know what you're talking about!
