What types of activities should I include in a preschool week long theme titled "My Family and Me"?

According to all my textbooks on childhood, preschoolers are children 3-5 years old. I know from one of my courses last semester, the textbook said coloring pages and cutting out ready made shapes are not developmentally appropriate according to DAP. If you could list ideas for Language and Literature, Literature, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Sensory Centers, Muisc and Movement, Puppets, and Dramatic Play. I was thinking of writing and illustrating stories on children's families for literature, and do a family tree for social studies one day.
