Yeah, but it makes them feel better, actual statistics aren't important to them. They also like to put a crimp on small gun shop owners who had a rough time getting through the ault rifle ban, because people with those plunk down good money on ammo and magazines that the gun store owners make a decent profit on, never mind that you usually see weapons that can be concealed used in a criminal manner. Of course if this makes you mad don't look up the guy in Wisconsin who was arrested for being a former felon owning a black powder rifle, you know he was up to no good with that.
