Based on the answers here, do you think the US is effective in giving the people the illusion of freedom?

As long as you pay taxes and avoid committing crimes you are basically free. I think the "I'm a slave to the man, capitalism is holding me down" yada, yada, yada fishcakes is a whole bunch of drama. Think of something you want to do that doesn't cause physical harm to anyone else or their property and you can do it. What more do you want?
