I am a single mom how should I discipline my three year old son?

Me and my son have always had a very close and understanding relationship....we are best friends. But lately he has become an absolute terror (think the omen) he NEVER listens, tells me to shut up, and breaks everything. I am not a pive mom I have tried time out, talking calmly, taking toys away, taking privilages away...even resorted to . And he will still turn around and do the same thing (not even one minute later) My throat constantly hurts from yelling and tensing up. I am at my wits end...any advice (*only people with experience with kids please*)
